OK here's a thread for liars-

Have any good fishing tips to pass on? Other than using bills at a fishmonger, what do you do for gathering in dinner?

We have always had good luck right at sunset trolling a "mexican flag" squid lure behind a flasher blade, nothing fancy- but it works for us.

Know how to read the water.
And don't use a filet knife to cut frozen bacon.
The filet knife CAN break 4 times into your hand.

I like to spearfish!Doesnt matter if they are hungry to bite they just need to get close enough to my Biller 48.Different fish different ways to catch.I just prefer to be in the water.I fish with rod and reel too but I love being in saltwater hunting!

Has anyone used a Cuban yo-yo? http://sail-delmarva.blogspot.com/2010/ ... shing.html I'm very curious about this rig for my MacGregor 26.

EDIT: Request to webmaster: please have links open in target="blank" if you can-- although it goes against the w3c guidelines, I had having to back-navigate to the page I was reading when I opened the link. Thanks! --dh

Cuban yo-yo? Cool
I just use 300LB tuna cord and tie a big ball bearing swivel to that. I will be changing over the 200
LB mono leaders to steel though- the Wahoo just bite right through and the lures ain't cheap!

I have two on the boat. Great for trolling while sailing.
