I love Buffet,Marley,Chesney and others that do water themed or Reggae music but I like older rock(50s,60s,70s), motown and older country music(Patsy,George Jones) on the boat or driving too.Water skiing or hydro sliding Ted Nugent and Van Halen (Roth)gets played a lot!Drives the wife nuts but the kids and me like it!

Van Hagar!  Seriously, Sammy is the man. I have seen him many times including with VH, and his show never disappoints. Diamond Dave was GREAT, but what else did he ever do? "Just a gigalo" was a groovy tune, but Sammy has Montrose, Chickenfoot, and a stellar solo career with various bands on his resume, and he is still going strong. Hands down, the winner.

Other than that, I dig it all except rap and super twangy country. Favorites are hard rock and some metal. Megadeth in the earlier years was unbelievable. Scorpions was my first concert, have seen them many times since. Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis with both Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel were always good and put on a good show. I also thought that link that Oscar posted to the lady that covered "voodoo child" was fantastic, spent a couple hours looking at her vids. If there is a beat to it, and the artist is talented, I can probably get into it.

I like Sammy Hagar but more of his music than Van Halen.I like Bob Seger,Eagles,Stevie Ray Vaughn,BB KING,ZZtop,AC/DC and that type music.Evidently Im old now because I was listening to an oldies station and they were playing most of those bands!Country stations play Buffet and Eagles now.Not a lot of "singers"now that impress me.I still hate disco for some reason.

I like many types of music but punk rock is probably my favorite. For me, "classic" rock from back in the day was stuff like MC5, Velvet Underground, New York Dolls, The Stooges, T-Rex, etc. For 60's music I love a lot of the garagey stuff like The Seeds, The Sonics. At 51 years of age my wife and I still like to go to punk shows.

And I'm sure you heard this song on the radio as a kid.

(Elton John is playing keyboards on this)

I would highly recommend checking all of those out on Youtube or Vimeo.

Never heard them.I listened to rock and some country stations in south florida. Most of the radio was CCR,Eagles,Led Zepellin,Heart,Fleetwood Mac,Bob Seger. If anything was punk it was the Cars.I had a 8 track in my van and lived on Buffet.Friends would get pissed I played him so much.If I wasnt working I was either running on the beach, fishing, spearfishing, surfing,or heading to the keys to get in trouble.Must be in the blood because my sons and grandson like the same things.

T-Rex Ive heard just never bothered to check the name.A lot of my friends were 7-10 years older than me so I usually heard country or the older rock.Got to run to Bahamas a lot without the parents because the were SUPPOSED to be mature and keep me out of trouble.Ronrico coconut rum mixed with fruit punch, loaf of bimini bread and sleeping(passed out) on the beach in Bimini was "normal"for me at 15.Breakfast of champions!

I guess with me I've always had pretty under the radar tastes in music. I never relied in the radio too much to keep me up to date. While I do like a lot of classic rock, most of the bands/artists I listen to would barely be able to sell out a 200 person capacity venue.
