Our boat is on the left coast, and we are on the right coast. I am working for a year to simi pay it off.

How can I get it over here cheaply?

It's 40' long and 22 wide so trucking is probably out of the question.

At the end of the work year are you returning to the left coast? If so you could consider just buying something small to sail on days off. Then sell it when your work is done.

Yes, if it's not already over here. We'll sail it back. We want to stay on the east coast for now. Grandma doesn't want to be to far away from those grand kids.

I think Buddy likes sailing those things - maybe he'll do you a favor and sail her around.... ;)

back in 1989, there was a ship in C.A that you could load the cat on and they haul it through the Panama canal and up to the East coast. a friend used it when he was transferred from the West coast to the East coast just after he bought his boat.
I think it costed about as much as it would have to sail it here though.

Where on the left coast is it located? Is it ready to go off-shore or is there work required?
