KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) - Law enforcement officials in the Florida Keys are asking boaters to keep a look-out for bales of marijuana floating in the Atlantic Ocean.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Friday that about 100 pounds of marijuana have been pulled from the water over the past couple days.

The bales have been scattered over a large area, and authorities say they suspect that there are more out there.

The drugs have been hidden in bales marked "brown sugar" from Jamaica.

Boaters who find similar bales are urged to call authorities immediately.

Crikey. I don't have the bandwidth to follow all thes links posted without some text describing the link or the story.

So I have done this one.

The story should also include being very, very alert for floating suitcases. They may damage the anti fouling if you hit them..... Plus they may be stuffed full of cash. Santa comes soon. So does April Fools Day.

Damn, Cliffy was sailing down below there. No wonder he was hanging on to that wheel in the picture. And that damn silly smile tells it all.

Talking about bales at a bar and one person said that they have homing devices in them.
If so, I would leave them where they are or possibly wind up in a gun fight

If turned over to the authorities it would be their fight.

If kept I think it would be easy enough to deep-six a device, should one exist. ;)
