The water appeared black and the sky was looking grim as we approached Cartagena, Colombia at 3:45 pm. after having been at sea for 4 days; but it began to lighten and then cleared as we continued on.

The bottom photo is Cartegena? I didn't think it would have all the tall buildings?

Yes, tall buildings in the new city, the huge fort in the old walled city, and over 2 million people.

I do have to get there sometime soon. Everyone says its great. But I thought it was all old town... That's the difference between perception and actually going there.

It's vastly bigger, more modern than I thought.

Are the tall buildings apartments? Or resorts? Or a mix? Where does all the action happen? In the old town?

Cruising Puget Sound headed home and trying to beat the weather front coming in. This is not an altered shot, it actually looked like this.

Even if the sun isn't out, the boat is still a good place to be...

As we rounded the whale cay passage in the Abacos we were greeted by this waterspot bearing down on us. tore down all the sails and just bobbed and weaved and luckily it went over to Great Guana and disappeared.
