didn't not mean to sound all uppity - just I have had my nose rubbed in it some many times I don't trust anything

Just yesterday I had to troubleshoot a furnace 1000 miles to the north (yuk)
My son was my very capable eyes and hands but nothing made sense!
Had to be the blower motor but the volt meter he was using (a quality meter I gave him) insisted the was no juice to the blower motor so I had him run the wiring from start to finish.
CRAP - everything looks good.
It is late in the day so run the motor down to the motor shop before they close and have them check it just in case.
*son watches them bench test it and it is OK. ARRRRGHHHHHHHHHHH!
Son take the voltmeter and test it in a wall socket.
Meter is shot! ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Go buy new meter.
Guess what meter says 124 VAC at motor terminals. WTF? *
Son hook up the big shop vac directly to the motor wires. I want a serious load on the Sucka!
Well dad the furnace won't blow but it sure sucks! Smart Ass I don't know where he gets it!
DAMN!
Go get new motor the next day and all is right with the world.

So the meter and the blower motor were both bad.
Who guards the guards?
If I were working daily I would have remembered to have him test the meter first so My bad.
I am glad I didn't get him killed ........
He will not forget this and neither will I

I am my worst critic.
Strike that my ex was my worse critic

report back : I changed over to the other propane tank & regulator and initially - their was no change, and now days later , it seems to be OK...

I will leave it like this for a few more days and then change tanks again.

I am suspecting a problem with the cooker and we have a low priority "change" scheduled, but I also suspect the oil in the regulator is possible.

dont like messing about with this stuff - but priority now is to get the admirals hot water cylinder installed.

Thanks for all the feedback

Kris
